Hello, I recently had to put my 12 and a half year old calico cat to sleep because she had kidney failure. It broke my heart to have to do that, but I couldn't be selfish and kept her alive just because I didn't want to let go, and let her be so sick and starve to death. I couldn't let her suffer like that. I uploaded a picture of her that I wanted to include, but I can't right now. It still breaks my heart to see a picture of her. I adopted a 3 month old black and white kitten couple weeks ago, and while I will always miss callie, I quickly fell for Oreo as well. Having her around to watch her play, and play with her has gone a long way to helping me to move on now that callie is gone. I love watching her play, it's so funny to watch kittens play, what they will play with and so on. I loved callie a lot, and she was my best friend for a long time, but now Oreo is quickly becoming my best friend. It's a big change for me though, Callie usually just sat or layed around most!of the time when she was awake, didn't play a lot. Oreo though is always zooming around if she's awake. It might sound strange but I really think that maybe animals can sense things. If I was ever sick, callie would usually lay around by me until I felt better. if I was ever sad enough to cry, she would be right by my side. and now Oreo, the other day made me cry to remember the last place Callie was sleeping before I took her to the vet and put to sleep, was in my recliner. soon as I thought that, Oreo jumped up there and went to sleep. I was remembering how Callie used to make a hideout and sleep behind a blanket on the couch, shortly after thought that, Oreo dug a hideout behind the blanket on the couch. I don't know if animals are in heaven or not, but I tend to think so. and know if there is, callie will be by the door with that what took you so long to get home look on her face.
